But today may be the day. If you haven\u2019t heard already, we have started a program aimed at recognizing excellence when we see it. And we have a special category especially for students \u2013 the Young Minds for Innovative Design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2021\/07\/Engineering-race-1024x576.png\" alt=\"Xcelerator Technology Innovation Awards\" class=\"wp-image-29132\"\/><figcaption>Nominate your Simcenter project for the Xcelerator Technology Innovation Awards<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The category recognizes students\u2019 use of Simcenter in projects demonstrating innovation potential; especially, projects with a social and or environmental impact. Of course, you\u2019re more than welcome to enter other categories as well. I\u2019ve already mentioned them in my previous&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/simcenter\/xcelerator-technology-innovation-awards-for-simcenter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blog post<\/a>, but here\u2019s a reminder:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Most Innovative \u2013 recognizing excellence in the use of Simcenter technology to bring products to market faster and more efficiently<\/li><li>Excellence in Artistic Visualization \u2013 celebrating the art behind simulation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Learn more about the Young Minds for Innovative Design category by watching this&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Vz4Iq2h9Yrk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">video<\/a>. Or visit the Xcelerator Technology Innovation Awards&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/xcelerator-awards-simcenter.secure-platform.com\/a\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though this is the first year for our academic category, we have had other award programs in the past, namely the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/simcenter\/flotherm-deltatj-award-winners-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Simcenter Flotherm \u0394TJ Award<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/simcenter\/don-miller-award-winners-2019-system-simulation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Don Miller Award for Excellence in Thermo-Fluid Design<\/a>, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/simcenter\/simcenter-floefd-frontloading-cfd-award-winners-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Simcenter FLOEFD Frontloading CFD Award<\/a>. This year we wanted to make sure to recognize you as well!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/xcelerator-awards-simcenter.secure-platform.com\/a\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2021\/07\/enter_button.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29287\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The deadline for submissions is October 31<sup>st<\/sup>, 2021 so please make sure to register and submit your projects by then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More about the Young Minds for Innovative Design prize<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/xcelerator-awards-simcenter.secure-platform.com\/a\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2021\/07\/Xcelerator-Awards-9b.png\" alt=\"Xcelerator Technology Innovation Awards Simcenter Simulation and Test\" class=\"wp-image-28941\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be 4 winners \u2013 one each from Europe\/Middle East\/Asia, the Americas, the Pacific Rim and Germany. Feel free to enter on your own or as a part of a team. If you enter as a team, please note that the prize amount will be shared among the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Should you win, you\u2019ll receive a trophy and certificate. You will also receive a winner icon for use on your resume and social media profiles. Your story will be featured in our popular digital&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plm.automation.siemens.com\/global\/en\/products\/simcenter\/engineer-innovation.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Engineer Innovation magazine<\/a>&nbsp;and on our social media channels. While I can\u2019t promise anything specific, your story may catch the eyes of the right hiring manager among our customers and partners too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last but not least, I should point out that the prize will be subject to local taxes. Therefore, we\u2019ll add the tax amount to the gift card so, after taxes, you\u2019ll end up keeping the full value. Sweet, no?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other important stuff<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To qualify for the award, you must have access to Simcenter solutions either from school or from your work placement (as long as you have permission from them to share information about the project). You may use any product in the Simcenter portfolio. If you\u2019re using multiple products, please make sure to show the nature of the multi-domain project on your nomination form.
