She shared basic techniques for using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plm.automation.siemens.com\/global\/en\/our-story\/glossary\/convergent-modeling\/24461\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">convergent modeling<\/A> functionality and time saving techniques for designing in the context of the STL assembly with real life examples. She is teaching all design work on NX to 250 students each semester from fda to anlaysis.&nbsp;<span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-left\" style=\"width: 400px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2019\/09\/20180605_151907-1.jpg\" alt=\"20180605_151907.jpg\" title=\"20180605_151907.jpg\" \/><\/span><\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Two professors from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skoltech.ru\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Skoltech<\/A> did a session about masters level courses dedicated to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plm.automation.siemens.com\/global\/en\/products\/collaboration\/mbse-model-based-systems-engineering.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">System Driven Product Development (SDPD)<\/A> and multiphysics simulation. They are teaching Introduction to PLM to 22-30 students in the 1st year of the masters course and Advanced PLM to 8-10 students in their final year.&nbsp;<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Oakland University Profesorr Dr. Bob Van Til did a presentation about&nbsp;PLM Education at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oakland.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Oakland University<\/A>.&nbsp;<SPAN>Oakland University&#8217;s Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) Department received the in-kind <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plm.automation.siemens.com\/en\/academic\/forms\/partner-program-grant.cfm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">grant<\/A> from Siemens in 2011. The presentation will follow the evolution of the ISE department\u2019s participation in academic program, which began with the integration of Tecnomatix<\/SPAN><SPAN class=\"apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/SPAN><SPAN>software solutions<\/SPAN><SPAN class=\"apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/SPAN><SPAN>into several ISE courses and the creation of a keystone course which presents PLM as a business concept. This session will center on topics which should be included in courses that focus on the application&nbsp;of PLM tools, and ways to involve industry feedback on developing projects for use in these courses. Please read the <a href=\"https:\/\/community.plm.automation.siemens.com\/t5\/Academic-News\/Educating-Work-Ready-Students\/ba-p\/494886\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">latest news<\/A> from Oakland University.&nbsp;<span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-left\" style=\"width: 400px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.sw.siemens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2019\/09\/20180605_110415-1.jpg\" alt=\"20180605_110415.jpg\" title=\"20180605_110415.jpg\" \/><\/span><\/SPAN><\/P><\/p>\n<p><P><SPAN>Main highlight was the display of <a href=\"http:\/\/ecocar3.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Arizona State University EcoCAR<\/A>.&nbsp;<\/SPAN>As North America\u2019s premier collegiate automotive engineering competition, EcoCAR 3 is challenging 16 North American university teams to redesign a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro by demonstrating emerging automotive technologies, while still maintaining the performance expected from this iconic American car.<\/P><br \/>\n<P><SPAN>The ASU EcoCAR 3 team is comprised of multidisciplinary studies which includes graduate and undergraduate engineering and business students. These students come from two different campuses and structure to form 7<\/SPAN> <SPAN>sub-teams: mechanical, electrical, controls, systems modeling &amp; simulation, innovation, project management and communications.
